From the time he was a small child, Theron Nelsen has always held a strong sense of patriotism and love for his great country. His father was a state representative in Idaho for a few years, and in that time, he inspired Theron to one day enact a short-term political career of his own. For much of his adult life since then, he’s been involved with politics to some extent, and he has most certainly always maintained that patriotism and kept it near and dear to his heart.

At one point in his career, Theron Nelsen served as a campaign chairman for a senatorial candidate, and in that way, he was able to assert his influence on the democratic process in a very positive and meaningful way. When he was asked to take the helm himself, however, he declined. He was called up and tapped to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. He considered it overnight, and when he woke up the next day, he knew without a doubt in his mind that he could make more of a difference and more of a positive impact touching people’s lives through his business and coaching than mentoring than he ever could working in Washington D.C.

Has he ever regretted not running for that seat? Absolutely not. He has been so proud of his accomplishments and is certain that he’s made more of a tangible impact on his community than he might have done otherwise. He’s said that ultimately, “It’s not the senator that has the influence; it’s the people around him.”

In addition to positively influencing his community—and other communities around the country and around the world—Theron has also been able to influence future generations of patriotic Americans through his support of the Patriot Academy. The Patriot Academy is a fantastic summer intensive where kids go to learn about the Constitution and the way the U.S. government functions. Theron has a special stake in it, not only because of his devout patriotism and love of philanthropy, but also because his granddaughter attends every year. Theron and Darlene have also made it a point to donate to the Patriot Academy to support less-fortunate kids who want to attend.

All in all, Theron loves his country, and he and Darlene are happy that they’ve been able to live their own American dream together with their wonderful family.
